Property information

Situated in an unspoilt corner of a Scottish Highland Estate are the Cairngorm Bothies – a collection of unique, eco-friendly wooden cabins designed to let you escape from the pressures of everyday life. With no TV and limited connection to the outside world (there’s 4G in case you can’t switch off completely), get back to nature and embrace the peace and quiet. Each bothy provides comfortable accommodation for up to four people with one double bed and two single beds. Your Bothy will comfortably sleep ideally a family of 4 with one UK standard sized double bed and a trundle single bed (2 mattresses 76 cm by 155cm) – typically children of 10 and under. Carefully constructed from eco-friendly and sustainable materials, each bothy fits snugly into it’s surroundings, minimising it’s impact on the forestscape. Embracing the natural surroundings, they are heated by the wood burning stove & oven and powered by solar power whenever possible. Inside you’ll find a mini kitchen with all the home comforts including stove for cooking, fridge, kettle, all cookware and utensils and dining table. The bathroom includes a walk in electric shower, WC, sink and heated towel rail. Neighbourhood information

Cairngorm Bothies have multiple forestry and woodland walks starting right outside your door with many more within a couple miles of the Bothies. The hillwalking routes in the area will really get the blood pumping with something for all levels of experience. Royal Deeside and the Cairngorms are regarded as the best in Scotland for cycling and mountain biking. From gentle cycling along flat and quiet country lanes to arduous mountain trails, the area has something to satisfy every level of cyclist. History is writ large here. Ancient sites and symbols mark this as a heartland of the ancient Picts. In the millennia that followed, no fewer than 300 castles were built here. In fact, there are more castles per square mile in Royal Deeside than in any other part of Scotland. Our local villages are Tarland, Aboyne, Ballater and Braemar, these Scottish villages offer a wide range of local produce and great gift ideas.
