Situated in the beautiful village of Craigellachie, The Craigellachie Hotel of Speyside dates from 1893. This luxury hotel offers scenic views of the rivers Spey and Fiddoch, the Thomas Telford Bridge and surrounding mountains. The impressive Victorian building boasts picturesque views across the forest. All rooms feature en suite facilities, a TV and seating area. The Craigellachie Hotel offers over 700 whiskies in the Quaich Bar, with tasting sessions available. The Copper Dog Grill offers home-cooked dishes, prepared using local produce. Craigellachie Hotel is just 25 minutes from Cairngorm National Park, and excursions to Inverness and Loch Ness run locally. Elgin is less than 14 miles away. Craigellachie Salmon Fishing Beat is directly opposite the hotel, and many famous distilleries are within 30 minutes' drive. The area is a popular spot for hunting and walking. Nestled in the luxury valley of Speyside, The Craigellachie Hotel was described by Condé Nast Traveller as “the oldest and greatest whisky hotel in the world”. The Craigellachie has 26 bedrooms, and it’s home to the oldest pub in Speyside: the Spey Inn, an old drovers inn dating back to 1703, and to the world-renowned Quaich Bar, where guests and tourists can savour over 1,000 single-malt whiskies alongside some of the best cocktails. The luxury valley of Speyside is home to 70% of whisky distilleries and the most famous ones such as Macallan, Glenfarclas, Glenfiddich, Craigellachie and many more, are within a 20-mile radius from the hotel. Speyside is also renowned for its incredible scenery and the River Spey is just 3 minutes from the hotel. It is a spectacular place to come and visit for walks, tours or just relaxing. Speyside is known for being a microclimate and its food produce is regarded as some of the finest in the world.
