The space is very cozy and pretty. Many lovely details in the room. It was wonderful to see beautiful paintings everywhere which made by the artistic owner. My 3 year old daughter also loved staying here. It has a great location too.

The property was in a good location close to the centre. It was decorated beautifully and felt extremely warm and cosy which really enhanced our stay. We were able to have an early check in with ease.

Prehnite Philharmonia
Here at the Prehnite Suite, we’ve rolled out the proverbial antique hand-woven Persian carpets for you so that you’ll be treated like royalty when you arrive for your stay. We can’t wait to welcome you within our historic walls, positioned against the beautiful backdrop of Edinburgh’s Old Town (which, by the way, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Our interior is just as special: a rustic yet regal style rubs shoulders with the nature and surrealistic large scale canvases. The charm of the Scottish outdoors is brought inside, thanks to the botanical-themed decorative touches. One of the main sightseeings of Edinburgh Old town, is its historic Middle Ages architecture. And you can find one of the best examples of this here on one of Edinburgh's most iconic streets, Coburn St., where you will be staying. Our building is a historic building made in 1820, and we feel extremely honoured to have the opportunity to keep and preserve the history alive, so our guests and travellers can have the opportunity to explore and enjoy. Entering the building you will see our stunning historic staircase, which reminds us of Beethoven Haus in Bonn, Germany. There'll be two flights of stairs, with a view to the inner courtyard, and there you are, embraced in the warmth of your own home, in Edinburgh. We proud ourselves in our guests' comfort and satisfaction, and we feel deeply thrilled to make your journey a memorable experience. Fresh linens, towels, shampoo and hair conditioner will be provided. And while you'll be enjoying the complete privacy of your own bedroom, you'll also have complete access to the common area, including the Kitchen, Dining area and Bathroom. Common spaces are also most likely majority of the time quiet and empty dedicated to your private use.
Prehnite Philharmonia is a newly founded international Centre for Research and Creative Practice, focusing on the interaction within arts and science. Founded by Dr. Arvin Papelli, whose PhD in Music Composition here at Edinburgh Uni marked the beginning of our very long journey here in Scotland, and who is now residing in the UK under Global Talent residency scheme , endorsed by England Arts Council in 2020. Prehnite Philharmonia is a non-to-profit centre, primarily providing excellency in musical, philosophic and scientific research, while promoting global art and music as a perfect platform in achieving a global peace amongst different cultures and ethnicities. As part of its activities, for keeping the research projects survive and flourish, the centre offers artist residencies, organises concerts and seminars, and in parallel with an open heart, excitedly, welcomes international guests from all over the globe, who help and support the centre flourish, by bringing and sharing their unique culture, knowledge and financial support, which entirely goes towards funding the ongoing activities of the centre, and for which we can't be any more grateful. If it wasn't because of our lovely community, this passed six years could have never been possible, so splendid, so gracious and glorious. Getting to your warm and comfortable residence in Edinburgh is a breeze – it’s within walking distance of Edinburgh Waverley station and a mere bus ride from Edinburgh Airport. You’re sure to be impressed by the central location of our artist designed apartment, just a few walking steps from the famous Royal Mile. Our affordable suite is close to all the sights, making it the perfect base from which to explore the city: stride down the Royal Mile, go shopping in Edinburgh’s city centre and dive into local history at the National Museum of Scotland while meeting Bobby and his loyalty, or immersing yourself into the mesmerising and magical world of National Gallery, walking down the beautiful Princess Gardens. The Royal Botanic Garden, Princes Street, the Scott Monument and John Knox House are also just a short walk away. There are umpteen pubs, restaurants and cafés near our apartment, too. If you fancy a breath of fresh air but don’t have time to get from Edinburgh to the Highlands, how about climbing up Arthur’s Seat in Holyrood Park? Edinburgh’s very own mountain offers you a stunning view of the city proper, Edinburgh Castle and Calton Hill. Or, you could head to a nearby whisky distillery and get a real taste of Scotland, in the truest sense of the word. So, cheers – or as they say in Scotland, ‘Slàinte mhath!’
