South Downs View is a homestay property (not a hotel/apartment/guest house but my home) and has both a single and a double room with king size bed available to book. Although I also live here I do work full time, go out and travel so sometimes away overnight especially at weekends. The single room is on the ground floor, with a toilet opposite the room for single room guest use. The room with a king size bed is upstairs and has a sloped roof for half the room as shown in photos. In the larger room is a tea and coffee tray with both rooms having toiletries and robes. There is a modern, stylish, clean shared bathroom upstairs. The bathroom is for guests and host. You are welcome to use the beautiful garden with amazing views of the South Downs, the perfect spot to watch the sunset or enjoy breakfast in the summer months. A parking space is available on request for cars or small vans on the off-street driveway. Maximum length 4.7 metres. There is free parking on surrounding roads for large vehicles or if you've booked both rooms you can fit a large van on at an angle. I do not have facilities to charge electric cars. Both rooms have a 32" Smart TV with all the usual streaming apps which you'll need your log in codes for. During the colder months the heating is set to come on in the morning and evening but can of course be adjusted depending on your requirements, please do ask. In the morning a cold breakfast of cereal, toast, pastries, yogurt, orange juice, tea and coffee is available in the kitchen to help yourself. Cooked breakfast is not provided. Please make me aware before your stay of any dietary requirements. Only guests who are booked with me to enter the home, no family or friends visiting. By the front door is a Ring doorbell, if you have trouble entering the property please press and I can assist. When you receive your check in message 3 days before arrival please confirm you have received it.

I've lived in Brighton my whole life and enjoy all it has to offer. I have an excellent knowledge of Brighton and the surrounding areas. Please ask for any advice about great places to visit, local bus services, restaurant recommendations, and general tips to make your stay that much better. The home is in the peaceful suburbs of Brighton ensuring a quiet night's sleep but near enough to the centre with a short taxi ride or bus. This is a homestay property with shared bathroom with myself and sometimes other guests.

Just a 3 minute walk away is a bus stop that can take you to the city centre, seafront, train station, and universities in 20 minutes. This is best as parking in the city is expensive and difficult. There is also an excellent taxi/Uber service. The local Preston Park makes this property a great option for visitors of Brighton Pride and the Brighton Marathon. There are three local pubs, one serving Thai food called Long Man of Wilmington, the Ladies Mile and Park View serving traditional pub food. There is also a wonderful Italian restaurant called La Tana, a Miller and Carter steakhouse, Patcham fish and chips and several excellent Indians. There is a small convenience store 2 minutes walk away, a Post Office and a lovely local coffee shop. Nearby are lots of lovely local walks over the golf course, a short drive to beautiful Stanmer Park with the wonderful One Garden cafe and restaurant and if looking for a longer walk a stroll up to the South Downs and see the Chattri monument.
