Everything! Wonderful place for a short stay that's a little bit different. Watching the foxes and a badger pottering around the orchard in the evening was just an added highlight! Would definitely stay again.

This Shepherd's Hut is perfect for anyone looking for a romantic glamping trip. It's completely private. You overlook an apple orchid and bird song accompanies the idilic view. It was really clean and the bed was comfy. The hosts are really...

Quirky little Shepherd's Hut. Excellent for some time away to relax. All you needed for a night away.

Traditional meets modern is how I would describe our pretty The Shepherds Hut. Cosy but comfortable, it is perfect for couples seeking a bit of quality time together, or indeed a single person looking some ‘me’ time, with nature all around and relatively simple living. Situated just off Stonehall Common on our small holding where we also have a converted barn for self-catering, the hut is positioned on its own in a corner of the orchard facing east where there is interest all year round. Spring time brings the blossom and new born lambs, evening and morning murmurations of Jackdaws over the woods beyond and the calls of wild fowl above heading in V formation for the local waters. Summer brings early morning sun streaming through the apple trees and the dawn chorus. Look out for hot air balloons too. The delicious smell of ripening apples in the autumn, the changing colours of the leaves and smell of bonfires as winter approaches. If you are lucky you may also see foxes, deer, muntjac, badgers and rabbits. The Shepherds Hut is actually built on an old disused flat bed trailer but this doesn’t distract from the traditional features you’d expect. Plus it has raised decking. Ideal for a few nights stay, or longer, it has a shower, basin and toilet in the ensuite and a small gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, small fridge, sink and BBQ for simple food preparation. Bedlinen and towels are provided. As the hut is a relatively small space it is advised to travel light. Sorry there is no WiFi accessible from the hut but you can pick ours up where you park Arrival details - I will liaise re access and parking. Due to a couple of bookings where guests have not respected the accommodation, I reserve right to access the during your stay and expect guests to leave the Hut as they would like to find it. Damage and theft of items will not be tolerated. Departure details - Key to be returned to me in person whereupon I will check everything is in order
I very much look forward to welcoming guests to The Shepherds Hut. Having already converted The Barn 15 years ago for Self Catering, we felt a Shepherds Hut would be a great addition on our small holding. I am very happy to interact if you so wish but equally respect your privacy, though at times I will be having to check sheep in the orchard and pottering about in the garden. Here at Beechcroft I have a flock of around 50 breeding ewes, and we can offer horse grazing/stabling if you wish to bring them along too. Unfortunately I can't accommodate dogs in The Shepherds Hut due to the proximity of the sheep and it being on the small side.
Here in Worcestershire there is so much to offer, what ever your interests. There are lots of eateries for all tastes locally in rural villages or in town; plenty of walks whether local foot paths, Stonehall and Kempsey Commons just 5 minutes walk away, Malvern Hills, Worcestershire Way, River Severn and along the canal; numerous cycle routes link up local market towns and lovely scenery and some off-roading opportunities too. You are less that an hour from Stratford, Cheltenham, Hereford and Birmingham for culture, theatres and shopping. National Trust properties include Croome Court, a popular destination for house tours, walks around the parkland and other activities - just 10 mins away by car. You may like to consider booking on one of our Craft Workshops in The Silk Shed during your stay. See FB The Silk Shed for events.
