The rooms/studios are located in our privately owned family building. The building dates from the 18th century and its exterior reflects this. The interior has been modernised, as can be seen in the photos. As an older building however, there can be some signs of such, especially as the materials used to build the building (all those years ago) are not the kind we use in modern times. So regular maintenance is our focus. The rooms are located on the first floor, with approximately 20 steps to go up from ground to your floor. There is no lift in the building.
We are a family from grandparents to grandchildren. We love meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. If you come to stay, you will see us from time to time in communal areas (like the hallway/stairs) and we will always be friendly!
Engineer Lane is right in the heart of Gibraltar, just off Main Street, it is perfect for shopping, restaurants, sightseeing and marinas. Nothing is far away, everything is either within walking distance or a short bus/car journey. Throughout the year, there is nearly always something happening. From family fun days in nearby Casemates Square to regular displays/marches from the local re-enactment society. There are five main (public) beaches/pool facilities in Gibraltar, all within a 10-20 minute bus journey. There are also two main park/gardens available to the public. Common Wealth Park is a beautiful lush garden complete with a pond and nighttime lighting. I highly recommend an evening stroll around the Common Wealth Park. The other more historical and botanical park is Alameda Gardens, also really worth a visit, that is about a 20-minute walk straight up Main Street or a short hop on a bus. The immediate area of the property is vibrant and friendly but it can be a little noisy at times like any city centre location.
