Comprising a garden and barbecue facilities, Santorini C Villa is a recently renovated accommodation in Fira set close to Exo Gialos Beach. This beachfront property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 3.3 km from Archaeological Museum of Thera. The holiday home has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a terrace with sea views. Guests can enjoy a meal on an outdoor dining area while overlooking the mountain views. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. For those times when you'd rather not dine out, you can choose to have groceries delivered. A variety of wellness packages are available for guests to get rejuvenated in-house. Bike hire and car hire are available at the holiday home and the area is popular for snorkelling and cycling. Hiking can be enjoyed nearby. Santorini C Villa is a labor of love and the result of many years of traveling to the island to enjoy the solitude and quiet of the area where the villa is situated. Santorini C Villa is an autonomous vacation rental that enjoys the silence and the sounds of nature...From the breaking waves to the sounds of crows, owls, a couple of birds of prey that nest nearby, bats, the sound of the adjacent tamarisk tree swaying in the wind. It is conveniently located a little less than 4km from the airport and is just a five-minute drive to the capital Fira. It enjoys peace and quiet, is just 300 meters from a remote beach and offers sea and hill views. It offers a perfect haven from the hectic crowds and the hustle and bustle of our busy yet unique volcanic island. The little island house has traditional, cob furniture in its bedroom and sitting-room/ kitchen area. It sits on a 370m2 plot of land with two separate sections and an entrance area where you can also park your car. The patio has a traditional couch where you can have your siesta or even sleep outside at night, a table and four chairs, so feel free to enjoy your coffee, meals and drinks outside, to the sounds of breaking waves, island wildlife and the wind. The second level, where the heated, 2m x 3m hot tub is situated, also features a wooden pergola under which there is a built, cob table and very big couch for your meals, siesta, relaxation. The big hot tub looks out on the deep-blue Aegean Sea. The third level boasts a very old olive tree with a low bench around it so you can sit under its shade and enjoy the ocean view. Behind it, adjacent to the outer fence, there is a built bench where you can rest at day or night as you look down at the Aegean from the highest spot of the property.
Hello, I am Christine, the owner and manager of Santorini C Villa! I permanently reside in the city of Athens and work as an English teacher. I have also worked as a radio producer, translator, interpreter, and in diplomacy in the past. I love traveling and exploring the great wilderness of America. I love Americana, music, lighthouses and sky photography. I am a Fulbrighter with an MA in Strategic Communication and Public Relations, I love popularized astronomy and have volunteered at the National Observatory of Athens. I was always thrilled and happy to host my friends from other countries -mainly from the States- at my permanent residence in Athens so becoming involved with hospitality is something that comes very naturally to me. It is a great feeling when I see that my island villa becomes your home away from home!
The house is situated on Kanakari beach (you just walk 300 meters and enjoy the cool, crystal clear water of our remote beach), just a five-minute drive from the center of Fira. From "our" beach, you may walk for a little less than 10 minutes to the right along the coastline and find yourself in an organized beach (Ekso Yalos) where there is a small port and a restaurant/ cafe. Alternatively, walk for about 20 minutes along the coast to the left and you will reach the beautiful little port of Vourvoulos, where there is also a traditional taverna/ restaurant which also serves snacks and coffee and offers sun umbrellas. Kanakari beach features the old, once mighty tomato factory of the Kanakaris family, now standing tall but beaten by time. You may walk on the beautiful hills facing the house and breathe in the fresh Santorini air. Enjoy the sea, the sun and the beautiful, untainted views!
