Situated in central Akureyri, Akureyri Backpackers offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with access to shared bathroom facilities. A swimming pool and hot tubs are a 1-minute walk away. Meals and drinks can be enjoyed in Backpackers Akureyri’s on-site bar and café. A buffet breakfast is served each morning. Cars can be rented on site. Staff can help arrange activities like horseback riding, rafting and various sightseeing trips. Coffee shops, bars and restaurants are found in the surrounding area. Akureyri Botanical Garden is 1 km from the hotel and Akureyri Airport is a 5-minute drive away. Public parking spaces are available nearby on weekdays for free, from 16:00 until 10:00 and on weekends (There is a fee during the hours of 10:00 - 16:00 on weekdays). The One-Bedroom Apartment is next door to Hafnarstræti 100, check-in via Akureyri Backpackers main property.

Towels are provided in the Deluxe Double Room. For other room types, towels can be supplied for an additional charge, or guests may bring their own. Guests can either rent it at the hostel or bring their own. Pillow, pillow sheet and a bed sheet are included.
