This basic guest house, just off Iceland’s Ring Road, is 5 minutes' drive from central Egilsstadir. It offers a free Egilsstadir Airport transfer service and rooms with free WiFi and a private bathroom. A fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities are standard in Vinland Guesthouse's rooms. We are Ásdís Sigríður og Ólafur Björnsson. We own and operate Vinland Guesthouse located just outside of Egilsstaðir. We bought this plays on april 1´st 2018 and completely fell in love with it. We thing it is a paradise on earth . We lived in Selfoss before. Ólafur worked as an mechanic and owned a mechine workshop. Ásdís worked as a prison guard. Now Ólafur is a station manager at europecar carrental an Ásdís is managing the guesthouse. We have 8 children and they love helping us out with the business. Our goals are to provide for our guests the best in facilities and service that we can and to make a successful family business.

Vinland Guesthouse is a family run motel with a large car park at a relaxing location across the Lagarfljót river from Egilsstaðir. The Accommodation comprises of 6 tastefully decorated Bedrooms, which are cleaned and refreshed on daily basis and all of which have en-suite shower Rooms, TV, Satellite, free Wi-Fi access, small refrigerator as well as tea and coffee making appliances.

Egilsstaðir is just across the river, where you can enjoy an outdoor swimming pool with hot tubs, lovely shops, restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Golf Cource is 5 min. drive from Vinland and 10 min. to horse riding . As the weather is generally mild in the east part of Iceland, at the end of the day you´ll cherish just sitting outdoors and watching the glow from the midnight sun as it casts its rays on the town across the river.
