Immersing oneself in the medieval seaside village of Nettuno is a unique experience. The town center offers every type of service, buzzing throughout the day, and is well-connected with a bus station 20 meters away and a train station connecting Nettuno to Rome a 5-minute walk away. In addition to the wonderful beaches with crystal-clear waters (notably Torre Astura), the historic center enchants with its picturesque alleys, charming squares, and historic buildings that tell centuries of history, blending with the many seafood restaurants that populate it. The majestic cylindrical towers rising over the landscape offer breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Not to be missed is Forte Sangallo, with its imposing architecture telling stories of ancient battles and military strategies. The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Grace and Santa Maria Goretti offers a moment of reflection and spirituality, and together with the Sanctuary of the Martyrdom of Santa Maria Goretti in Borgo Le Ferriere, forms the Pontine religious pilgrimage. Particularly unique is the visit to the World War II Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorial.
