your hosts are Nancy and Martin Stein. Anyone who has ever been to Lake Como will fall head over heels in love with the lake, the landscape, the people and the lifestyle . This is what happened to us and our two little sons Luay (6 years old) and Leonel (5 years old). With the first apartment we have fulfilled our personal dream and by renting out our first apartment “Cipresso 2” many of our guests have been able to share in this dream. We now run three of our own apartments on Lake Como , our second home. We lovingly decorate our apartments, carry out any repairs with passion and are constantly working to optimize our service for our guests.
In 2024 we founded our first company in Italy ** STAHERE PROPERTIES ** to professionalise the "holiday flat rentals" sector. We offer not only attractive flats but also the complete range of services from flat rental, staging, management, cleaning and controling.

"This luxurious newly refurbished rustico property with pool enjoys a prominent sunny lake view position on the hillside of Pianello del Lario, a semi-rural village which is located along the central western shore line of Lake Como. The property with shared pool is situated in an exclusive residence which incorporates a cluster of refurbished luxury rustico properties into a splendid private hamlet.
Inside the property offers exceptional living with high gloss tiling, high quality fittings and luxury contemporary furnishings throughout. A wonderful open plan layout allows guests to relax and unwind in an informal yet stylish setting with a bright living area and a very stylish dining area.
From the contemporary living area glass doors slide out onto a marvellous sunny lake view terrace providing alfresco dining for you and your guests. The lake views are outstanding and serve as the perfect backdrop to a romantic dinner party.
Indoors from the open plan room a spiral staircase leads to the beautiful sleeping accommodation which features modern and luxurious bedroom furnishings and character sloping ceilings for added romance and rustico charm.
A double master bedroom also boasts a private lake view balcony terrace where you can enjoy a private drink together in the evenings as the sun sets over the mountain tops and lak
Neighbourhood information
From the peaceful and unspoilt hillside residence guests can easily reach within minutes by car the local village grocery shop as well as the picturesque lakeside resort town of Menaggio, which boasts a wide variety of amenities including various supermarkets, delicatessens, banks, bars, cafes, authentic restaurants, boutique jewellery and clothes shops, a Lido with swimming pool and beach as well as a fast and frequent ferry service to the other Golden Triangle towns of Bellagio and Varenna. The romantic promenade also provides a wonderful place to relax with an ice-cream or book and stroll to the mini golf and Lido whilst taking in the spectacular views towards the eastern shore and Bellagio peninsular.
The famous Villa Carlotta and Villa del Balbianello are both easily reachable by car along the scenic lakeside road, which leads in just a 40 minutes drive to the cosmopolitan city of Como which offers fast train links to Milan city and Milan Malpensa Airport."
