1 hour to reach Positano on foot, by public transport or by car. B&b40Steps welcomes you for a quiet and relaxing holiday on the hills of the city of Vico Equense, above the Sorrento Peninsula. Worth visiting is Monte Faito (1150) with a sunset view of the Gulf of Naples and from Santa Maria Del Castello an excursion along the panoramic path (le Tese or butterfly path) to Positano, (not difficult). Not far from Sorrento or Pompeii with the island of Capri a must visit! Amalfi 2 hours by car! Quiet and peaceful area, peripheral but well connected. The property overlooks the main road, with free secure parking on site. Bakery and bus stop in front of the house just 50 meters outside the door, other commercial establishments (minimarket, clinic, churches and more) nearby. Restaurants, pizzerias and bars can also be reached on foot in less than 5 minutes. Children up to 11 years old stay free!! For all adults there is a tourist tax to be paid on site upon departure, in cash, the tax is 3 euro a night a person, which goes to the municipality of Vico Equense

My B&B is situated at the feet of monte Faito (Vico Equense) about 500 meters above sea level. B&b40steps is 35 minutes far from Positano center, 25 to Sorrento center, 35 to Pompeii by car, about the double with public "EAV" or "SITA" transports. When these cities are very crowded and very hot ( June-july-agost-september) my little B&B is perfect for relaxing in the evening and getting ready for the next day to visit these attraction. I allways recommend my guest's to visit Capri, the most beautiful island in the world and worth every moment! With Naples, isola di Ischia,Vesuvio, Ercolano, Vietri sul mare, Ravello and Amalfi, Campania is for sure one of the most important places in Italy to visit.
