Monti is an eclectic neighborhood in the city center, with bohemian and classic elements. In the southwestern part there are archaeological sites such as the Trajan's Markets and the building of Nero's Domus Aurea. The squares and side streets are lined with family-run trattorias, chic wine bars and original vintage boutiques that attract a heterogeneous clientele made up of expats, students and locals. Via Nazionale and via Cavour are the main commercial streets of the area.
