La porticina is located at the entrance to the historic center of Barrea, an Authentic Village in Italy, one of the oldest and most evocative of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park, nestled between the high peaks of the Apennines. Barrea represents a strategic point to be able to experience the surrounding area and its beauties throughout the year; each season offers the observer different scenarios. An ideal place to relax and immerse yourself in nature: there are in fact numerous paths that can be followed, and the Nature Reserves where flora and wildlife are luxuriant. There is also no lack of activities in the surrounding area: trekking and excursions in the Park with expert guides present in the area; the possibility to rent bicycles, canoes, pedal boats, windsurfers; the presence of stables for wonderful horseback riding. Finally, in summer you cannot resist relaxing on one of the three equipped beaches along the lake, and taking a bath in its freshwater. La porticina, an ancient building that has just been renovated with dedication, dominates the entire lake, the mountains and the expanses of woods that surround it: the view overlooking it's truly breathtaking.
INFORMATION FOR GUESTS: La porticina offers numerous services, among which: access with Smart-lock technology; Wi-Fi with unlimited connection; autonomous heating; HD Smart TV with the possibility of connecting to entertainment and streaming platforms. La porticina is fully available and for the exclusive use of the guest who books; moreover the independent entrance and the context will guarantee total privacy during the entire stay. La porticina doesn't have a private parking, but to reach it you can park your car for free at about 100 meters, and take a small road that is not steep and without steps. Outside there is a small stone staircase. There are no stairs inside. La porticina undertakes to respect the protocols and regulations for cleaning, disinfection and hygiene; and to guarantee the guest what he needs to be able to carry out the separate collection in a correct way to protect the environment.
La porticina is happy to welcome your pet. However, in respect of the house and the other guests, certain conditions are envisaged: access is allowed to only one small/medium animal; it must be animals used to being at home; animals are forbidden to climb on the furniture, on the sofa and on the beds; it is required to clean the paws at each entrance; finally, they must never be left alone in the house. Access is allowed only upon request, and an extra charge of 50 euro is required . In the Municipality of Barrea there are three charging stations for electric vehicles, one of which is located about 150 meters from La porticina.
