We’ll host you with the idea that we want you to enjoy staying at farmer’s storehouse, kura. ◆◆◆Apple farmer’s kura The wooden kura with drifting warm scent of wood was rebuilt in 2006. It has been passed down from generation to generation. Originally kura was built on the premises for storing rice and apples however it hadn’t been used for a while and we decided to use this space as an accommodation to keep this traditional building. It’s comfortable enough to stay with minimum facilities and it left the feature of the original building with low ceiling and one seamless space. One group only for a day, and good private space will make your kura experience special. ◆◆◆In autumn, if you wish, we can tour you on a walk to our apple orchard, which is about a 5-minute walk from the gesuthouse. We are running an apple orchard in Matsumoto city. My husband used to work in Tokyo as a system engineer but we decided to move to Matsumoto to take over my grandfather’s apple orchard and look for a good environment for raising our children. We’re owing our staffs to take care of 1.6 ha orchard and growing 20 different kinds of apples. We started to host guests with the idea that we didn’t want to waste a great kura and we loved our lives with beautiful view of apple orchards and we thought everybody will like it too. We live just next door and please do not hesitate to ask any help if you have any problem. Moreover, we’ll offer a short apple orchard tour for those who are interested in. We hope your time spending here will be a special moment.

Here, Yokoya farm is surrounded by farmer’s houses, orchards and rice fields. It is so calm and peaceful that we can hear a birds singing in morning. Here is located on a hill and we can see a beautiful view of the city from a neighborhood. This facility is the accommodation that was renovated from kura on the premises. Please enjoy hot spring experience! ・Downtown of Matsumoto city (10mins by car) Including Matsumoto castle, there are various sightseeing spots and restaurants. ・Azumino area (30mins by car) Please try wasabi(Japanese horse radish) ice cream at Daio Wasabi farm.
