Thank you for finding our inn. Hida Furukawa is a small town, but we warmly welcome all our guests. Please relax and enjoy your stay, experiencing a genuine Japanese countryside inn.

Property info

In the late Edo period, Sangoro-san came from the town of Etchu Yatsuo to start an inn here in Hida Furukawa. For about 180 years, we have been operating in Hida Furukawa. During the fifth generation, the silk industry flourished, and as known from the novel "Ah, Nomugi Toge," many women crossed the Nomugi Pass from Hida to Shinshu for seasonal work. Our inn thrived as a recruitment base in northern Hida, serving as a bustling post station. The wooden two-story structure of Yatsu-Sankan, a registered tangible cultural property, tells its history. Enjoy Hida's cuisine with our monthly kaiseki meals.
