Bird House Mirissa is an unique wood house tucked away from the busy streets of Mirissa, but yet a walking distance to the stunning beaches and the fishing harbour. This hand built wood house is a homestay where you get to be part of the authentic local life in a calm and friendly neighbourhood. The wood house is surrounded by trees that attracts birds like the beautiful peacocks and other wildlife, like monkeys and you'll get to experience this right from the balcony. The rustic & homey feel of Bird House and the friendly family hosts, will be a special experience in the tourist hot spot of Sri Lanka. Make sure to also try out the traditional Sri Lankan foods we serve at the site cooked by Ishan's mother. A friendly reminder to our dear coming guests: the natural tree house can have occasional small visitors like unharmful frogs, gekkos and bugs entering the room. This is just a part of the tropical island life experience, so stay calm and if they bother too much, Ishan or his family are happy to help to remove them out from the room. :)
