We are honored by your custom! Clouds is an enchanting scenic getaway in pristine surroundings where you can truly rest relax and rejuvenate. This four bed-roomed bungalow has been thoughtfully equipped with modern facilities and comforts for the discerning guest – while at the same time remaining uniquely private and homely. Located in the southern rim of the central hills of Sri Lanka, the bungalow sits atop a wind-swept mountain crest offering spectacular views of soaring mountains, verdant valleys and plains stretching across to the Indian Ocean. And if you are interested in exploring the central, south eastern and southern areas of Sri Lanka, ‘Clouds’ is an ideal base with its close proximity to some of the Country’s many attractions. Haputale is a small town nestled in the central hills of Sri Lanka situated 4900 feet (1500 meters) above sea level surrounded by luscious tea estates. The 193 km drive from Colombo takes you around four and a half hours on a scenic route. The journey time is reduced by more than an hour if you travel early in the morning. Haputale can also be reached by train.
Rather than talking about me, let me describe the property in detail! There are four bedrooms all equipped with individual heating and four modern bathrooms with hot and cold water. Three bedrooms have private sit outs which have the same panoramic views that can be seen from the garden. The cozy living room has an open fire place. There are board games, television, and a DVD player with a selection of movies, to keep all ages entertained. A library with some interesting reading is also available. Much of the one acre property consists of a beautifully landscaped garden with plenty of space for kids to play without disturbing anyone who wants to enjoy the peace and quiet of the surroundings. A game of croquet could be arranged in the garden to bring back memories of a bygone era…or if you want to look across the vistas and contemplate on the beauty of nature or just enjoy a book, there are plenty of nooks and crannies to afford you complete privacy. The sound of running water by the pond adds to the sense of serenity that one experiences.
