Perched high on the mountain, I marveled at the breathtaking vista where the river wound its way through the valley below, creating a picturesque scene that seemed straight out of a postcard.

I was professor in geology at the University of Peradeniya, now retired and working as a visiting lecturer at postgraduate level. We have setup the new homestay in Gatambe, Kandy, Sri Lanka and receiving guests from all over the world.
