The White House is a simple & friendly 'budget home-stay', with a chilled vibe, 2 minutes walk from Uppuvelli beach; set in the privacy & shade of our beautiful coconut garden. The White House is roughly 5km by tuk tuk from the central bus stand in Trincomalee (600to 800) on the beach road behind Trinco Blu Resort. No.67 Alles Gardens. Please call us if you experience any difficulty finding us. 3.7 km from Kanniya Hot Springs; 5 km away from the amazing Koneswaram Temple and Fort Frederick is 5 km from The White House. There is fresh international and local food available onsite; each dish prepared individually to your tatstes by the incredible Rangan. The White House is perfect for couples, families or solo travelers looking for the simple life. 'Everyone' is welcome & welcomed at The White House.
Rangan is a qualified dive master and has expert knowledge of the best places to dive; swimming with turtles, dolphins, sharks or even blue whales! (Instagram: rangan.snorkeling). Whether you are an experienced diver or first time Rangan can arrange your experience. We know all the best places, away from tourist spots; with tanks, free diving or snorkeling - we will arrange the perfect experience. Just ask.

We are a simple, budget, family run home-stay that prides itself on excellent customer service and providing the simple life.I'm here to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. Anything you want to know (sightseeing, tours, taxis, directions, food, advice) please just ask me. I'm here to help. I know the area well and everyone knows me.If you want to go diving, snorkeling, fishing, whale watching, a trip to Pigeon Island trip; then let me know and i will arrange it for you. The recorded history of Trincomalee spans more than two and a half thousand years, beginning with civilian settlement associated with the Koneswaram temple in the pre-modern era. One of the oldest cities in Asia, it has served as a major maritime seaport in the international trading history of the island with South East Asia.
Trincomalee is a port city on the northeast coast of Sri Lanka. Set on a peninsula, Fort Frederick was built by the Portuguese in the 17th century. Within its grounds, the grand Koneswaram Temple stands on Swami Rock cliff, a popular vantage point for blue-whale watching. The holy complex contains ornate shrines and a massive statue of Shiva. Nearby Gokanna Temple has panoramic views over the city and the coastline.
