Located in the Medina, Riad Tizwa Fes is a 15-minute walk from Madrasa Bou Inania. Host Review Score Fes is known for its palace like living and Riad Tizwa Fes is no exception. We are located at the top of the medina in what is known as the best area in Fes and we are close to the the 2 main meandering streets of the old town. Fes is a labyrinth, and we are easy to find and have the great advantage that a car and driver can drop you off within 100 meters of the door ( a very rare thing). The house is blessed with a huge roof terrace that has a panoramic view across the whole city.
Morocco first grabbed me back in 2001 - and I have loved being in the country ever since. My brother has been visiting for many many more years than I. Fes has a magic all to itself and a history that is unrivaled anywhere in the world today. We bought the riad in 2008 and have been loving it ever since. It has a special calm and grandure that I have never felt anywhere else before. We created Riad Tizwa as somewhere that we would like to visit... No fixed times for breakfast, staff on hand - but not over bearing and a beautiful display of the best of the best of Moroccan crafts within the spectacular simplicity of a historic house.
Riad Tizwa is one of the few riads in Fes that has had a very sympathetic renovation rather than a total destruction and rebuild - which means that it has maintained its true sense and beauty whilst incorporating the boutique feel expected from the discerning travellers. AND ITS EASY TO FIND! We are both very proud of Riad Tizwa being one of the first riads to have been recognised as an environmental hotel.
We are in, quite simply, the best areas of the medina in Fes. It's easy to find - which is remarkable and unique and we can get taxis to within 100 meters of the riad.
