This luxurious hotel with landscaped ponds and direct views of the Huayna Picchu Mountain offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with iPod docking stations. At Sanctuary Lodge, A Belmond Hotel, Machu Picchu, guests can dine á la carte at Tampu Restaurant, with large sliding windows and panoramic views of the lush jungle. Tinkuy Restaurant offers Andean flavours and has rustic stone interiors and a fireplace. Machu Picchu Airport is 18 km away and Cusco City is 80 km from the Sanctuary Lodge. Machu Picchu train station is 25 minutes away. Trips to the famous Aguas Calientes thermal baths can be arranged. According to Peruvian law (Law No. 28194), cash is not accepted for payments from PEN 2,000.00 or USD 500.00. These currencies must be settled by credit card or other methods approved by the hotel and Peruvian Law. Payments cannot be split between currencies.

When booking more than 5 rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply.
Belmond Sanctuary Lodge is only accessible by a public bus service departing from Aguas Calientes Train Station in Machu Picchu. Round-trip bus tickets must be purchased from the Consettur booth at the station. Buses depart every 20 minutes between 5:30–15:30. There are no taxis from Aguas Calientes to the Machu Picchu Citadel.
Based on local tax laws, Peruvian citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Peru) must pay an additional fee of 18%. To be exempt from this 18% additional fee (IVA), a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. Please note both documents are required for fee exemption. Guests who are not able to present both documents will be required to pay the fee. The tax is applied per room when the room is shared by a taxable and a nontaxable guest.
Foreign business travelers who require a printed invoice, will also be charged the additional 18% regardless of the length of their stay in Peru. This fee is not automatically calculated in the total costs for the reservation.
In accordance with the new provisions in force as of April 17, 2021 (DS No. 005-2021-MINCETUR)For the entry of minors accompanied by one or both parents, it is mandatory to carry the passport or identity card of the minor. It is also a requirement to present at the hotel, the birth certificate as well as passport or identity card of the accompanying parent, as appropriate.
