The restaurant Caco is famous for good food in this area, only 2 mins walk away. The Palmela castle is only 5 mins drive away, it is a Medieval hilltop castle complex with a church, museum, hotel & expansive views of the countryside. The Moinhos Vivos de Palmela is 5 mins drive away, it is an excellent walking route, of medium difficulty. Very well identified and maintained, it allows a journey through time through visits to several archaeological sites (Castro de Chibantes/Alto da Queimada/Grutas da Quinta do Anjo). It provides stunning views of the Sado and Arrábida estuary. Don't forget to stop at the bakery at the beginning of the route to buy homemade bread baked in a wood-fired oven! A treat. Bacalhôa Winery is famous for MOSGATEL, it is a renaissance wine estate with a museum, 15th-century tiles & gardens, plus guided tours & tastings. Mercado do Livramento is one of the best fish markets, well organised and clean, full of colors, smells and life! You can capture the essence of the city of Setúbal in this market. You can buy a little bit of everything, from fruits, meat, fish, souvenirs, typical sweets, etc. And, of course, the beaches in Arribida National Park, all with cristal clear water, clean sand, magnificent landscape.
