Remodelled from top to bottom in 2017, The Lookout is a luxury vacation rental for the discerning traveller located in Hatch on 3.5 acres of land, about 25 minutes to Bryce Canyon National Park and 50 minutes to the East entrance of Zion. It overlooks large pastures with the Sevier River meandering throughout, where you can watch cattle roam in the summer, as well as spectacular sunrises and sunsets over the back of Bryce Canyon (Paunsagunt Cliffs) which is right in front of the house. Most windows in the house have a breathtaking view, hence the name "Lookout". The property sits on 3.5 private acres with private Sevier River frontage for fishing. The river is known for 3 kinds of trout that are restocked periodically by the local fish hatchery. The property feature hardwood and tile flooring throughout (no carpet), exceptional tile walk in showers with windows, granite countertops, automatic espresso and coffee maker (coffee provided), stainless steel kitchen appliances, a 65" TV in the living room etc. It has been decorated in a trendy modern urban industrial style using reclaimed accent pieces, local antiques and custom metal artwork from local craftsmen.
I was born in Germany, grew up in France and moved to Las Vegas in 2002. I enjoy the outdoors and all our great National Parks in the area and have been exploring the well known parks as well as many lesser known or hidden places for the last 17 years. I will be happy to share advice on places to see, in order to make your stay unique and memorable!
The following Parks / Monuments can each be seen within a half or full day trip from the retreat: - Bryce Canyon National Park - Red Canyon - Zion National Park - Cedar Breaks National Monument (Close in the winter) - Duck Creek - Grand Staircase Escalante - Grand Canyon (North Rim) - Lake Powell National Recreation Area, and its majestic sandstone cliffs - Pink Coral Sand Dunes State Park - Buckskin Gulch Slot Canyon (longest one in the US) - The Wave (requires permit from BLM) - Best Friends animal sanctuary (free tours) - Brian Head Ski Resort (during the winter season) - Horseback riding (available in Bryce Canyon) - ATV rentals (summer) and snowmobile rentals (winter) Of course, you could also stay home and fish (with a Utah fishing license, that can be purchased online) and swim on the property itself, hike, bike or ATV on many trails nearby, some right outside the property.
