Outside your door is the bike/walking trail which leads to Ft Abercrombie, which offers the most beautiful and accessible walking trails and beaches Kodiak offers. This is a beautiful, small, residential neighborhood directly across the street from Mill Bay Beach. A popular local kodiak beach where you can sunbath, swim, kayak & paddle board. Outside your door is the bike & walking path that leads you a 1/4 mile to the fascinating Ft. Abercrombie, full of sunbeam lit mossy hiking trails, blueberry & salmonberry bushes, & rugged cliffs with hidden WWII bunkers, also, another local favorite State Park beach with easy access. Downtown is about 2.5 miles and Safeway is about 1 mile. There's plenty of parking on site. We always recommend our guests rent a car to be fully flexible and independent TURO is a good rental option for cars.
