Marula Gardens is a recently renovated guest house in Mtubatuba, where guests can makes the most of its outdoor swimming pool, garden and barbecue facilities. This 3-star guest house offers a shared kitchen and full-day security. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. A patio, a seating area, a satellite TV and air conditioning are available in each unit. At the guest house, every unit is equipped with a desk and a private bathroom. An à la carte, Full English/Irish or vegetarian breakfast can be enjoyed at the property. Guests are welcome to relax in the on-site lounge, while packed lunches are also available upon request. Newly established in 2023 Wellspring Ventures is our wholly owned company that we use to manage Marula Gardens in Mtubatuba and Alberry Cottages in Clarens. Alberry Cottages is currently taking long-term rentals only. The Directors of Wellspring Ventures are myself, Nigel and my wife, Cheryl. Our hosts are Busisiwe, Nandi and Carlin, they work reception, provide the meals and supervise the cleaning and grounds staff.

Marula Gardens was the first property developed in River View when the Umfolozi Sugar Mill was commissioned. It consisted of five "rondavels" (round rooms), which housed the management of the mill during the factory construction period.
