Ongoye View Residence is a self-catered place in heaven. The moment you arrive your shoulders will drop 10 cm. The stunning sundowners, the tranquillity of Mtunzini and the fabulous rimflow pool gives you really the 'unwind' joy you're looking for. The property has a few solar panels and an inverter to reduce the discomfort of Eskoms' loadshedding.
Having worked and lived in many countries, I felt in love with South Africa and Mtunzini especially. Put all my energy behind building the villa in 2006. Now it's my dream, passion and inspiration at the same time. Can I share this with you?
Weather in Mtunzini is year-round great as it is situated on the east coast of South Africa (KwaZulu Natal) and its shores are lapped by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Mtunzini is Zululand's best keep secret and is a natural hideaway for holidaymakers who love the sea, lagoon, nature reserve, golf and safaris. Primary attraction is its natural beauty with extensive indigenous forests, a pristine estuary and unspoiled, long beaches. There are restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacists, a clinic, a Spar and other shops in the village and Mtunzini caters for all everyday shopping needs as well as dining out options. The lagoon is the perfect location for fishing and water skiing and there are cruises available for events and sunset outings. A country club caters for golf, tennis and squash, while there are facilities for bowls and horse-riding in the village as well. A visitor friendly ski-boat club provides support for estuary and offshore fishing. Mtunzini is one hour drive from Durban’s King Shaka International Airport and is an ideal gateway to safaris, Drakensbergen, world heritage sites and areas of historical interest.
