Greeted by manager and shown to our room and made us very welcome, superb breakfast and location in the middle of the town with on site car parking! Would recommend this hotel!
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Good size room. Very basic but clean. Pub and garden were rustic charm. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A good choice of breakfast dishes on menu ( just cereal on table, & juice.)
It was exactly what we needed. Fantastic staff, lovely setting, great facilitates, brilliant dinner and breakfast. This is a beautiful setting and was perfect for us to break up a long journey. Beautiful grounds to wander round and a lovely kitchen garden.
The hotel is excellent and we really enjoyed the surroundings and the comfort. All the staff were were very helpful without being intrusive. We had dinner in Smokes which was outstanding one of the best I have had in terms of the food quality and service.
Situated in a small town just out of Birmingham. Very calm area. A few degrees warmer and the garden would have been super! Nice and friendly in general. Good food in the evening. Breakfast was very good. Staying at a 400 year old pub/ inn is part of the experience.
Lovely atmosphere. Very welcoming. Great value and a proper pub ... Had dinner in the pub, was really good - the rooms aren't in the pub, but in a building to the side - small, but cosy and met all our needs for a one night stay. Great location, one train stop away from the NEC which is where we wanted to go.
Myself and my mum stayed at the White Lion as we had a concert at the Resorts World Arena. The train station is just a 5 minute walk away from the Inn, with just a 3 minute train to the arena, and a 15 minute train to the centre of Birmingham for some shopping. The Inn itself was lovely, really cosy and lots of good food on offer.
Everything. Beautiful hotel, lovely staff always friendly and helpful, nothing to much trouble. Rooms where clean, comfortable and well equipped with refreshments( tea, coffee etc) and toiletries. Very good breakfast. Unfortunately we didn’t get the time to dinner in either of the two restaurant, which looked lovely but we will be back and will definitely be trying next time
Really lovely old pub in a lovely village and in fantastic location for the NEC. The pub itself was great to sit in and enjoy a beer with a great selection of drinks and a good atmosphere.
The food is typical pub food, nothing fancy or anything to write home about. Probably wouldn’t come here just for dinner.
Cooked breakfast was tasty.
Bedding and room decor was nice.
