I've been to Killarney many times, but I've never stayed in the Plaza, but my whole experience was outstanding. I also had dinner in the Tanyard, and I can't speak highly enough of the staff. Our room was very spacious and had a stunning view over the loch and mountains. It was quiet and relaxing and we even slept late - not like us! We ate in the Lakeside restaurant and our dinner was excellent. Breakfast was also very good. I particularly enjoyed the pictures and stories around the hotel explaining the beginnings and growth. The staff are very friendly. The restaurant is phenomenal. The food was absolutely delicious. We were able to have dinner, enjoy a Murphys beer, and listen to BRILLIANT traditional Irish music, and stay the night in comfort, all in the one great hotel. The room we had as a family of five was amazing. So spacious and well laid out. ( one of our kids was on the foldout sofa but it was totally fine ) The pool facilities were great, the kids had a wonderful time in the pool. The playground was great too.
