It's a new place (the whole place for you with a private entrance) around nature but still near the main route and bus stop. In the garden you can meet various birds, iguana or mongoose. It is easy to rent a motorbike or bicycle - owners help with that. The beaches are also reachable by foot if you like walking and exploring the neighbourhood or tuktuk. The family is really nice and caring, if there is any problem they solve it immediately e.g. I ask them for better wifi for my work. They can also do laundry or organize trips. It's a 100% legit and worthy place to stay.

Great place to stay - near the ocean with large and very deserted beach, very comfortable, very friendly host! 2 rooms villa with great terrace for breakfast or dinner, fully equipped kitchen. Rooms are clean and comfortable. 100% recommended for the quiet and comfortable staying!

The location is excellent right on a beach next to turtle point. We saw turtles each time we went snorkelling just a few steps from the hotel. You can also surf round the corner from there. I guess it's called turtle beach for a reason. There is a choice of 4 or 5 restaurants right by the hotel including its own restaurant which has good food at very reasonable prices. Nice pizza place behind the hotel. We only stayed 2 nights but if you like relaxing on a beach with sun loungers you could easily spend a week here. The room was basic but very comfortable. There was hot water in the shower and they provided beach towels. Although I thought we booked a room with a balcony the ground floor room we were given ended up just as good because it was only about 20 steps to the beach. It was easy to get a Tuk Tuk into the town and back again and PickMe seemed to work well here also. A small point, although there is a kettle there are no cups or complementary water which seemed standard in the other hotels around Sri Lanka. I scored this a 10 because it's great value for money being right on the beach.

Thank you Chami and Dalu for another wonderful time (3rd time) at your place! We will for sure come back again a fourth time!! It is not possible to describe how special this place is and we highly recommend everyone to come here and experience it yourself. Heaven in Satinwoods is our favorite place in Sri Lanka and also the food here is just the best that you can get. So if you come to this place, you should definitely try the rice and curry. From the first second we arrived at this place, we felt like staying in paradise. We were welcomed with a fresh juice, some wet towels to refresh our faces and a flower necklace. The rooms are very spacious, there is an A/C in every apartment and it is very clean. Also you have drinking water in the room, so you don’t need to buy water. You can just bring empty water bottles and reuse them, which is really great. Also this place has a wonderful garden with many beautiful trees, plants and flowers and you can watch many different animals like giant squirrels and really beautiful birds! For us this place feels like home and Dalu and Chami feel like family! Again, thank you for everything and see you next year! Lots of love, Anni and Joe
