We arrived late and had dinner in the pub/restaurant. The quality was way in excess of our expectations. I had a Beetroot cured smoked gravadlax with horseradish cream, cress & toasted sourdough followed by Beer battered haddock & hand cut chips with peas & tartare. The starter was one of the best I have ever had and the main course was the perfect meal for a first day in Scotland. Compliments to the chef!! Our room was spacious with every comfort. A huge comfortable bed with a nice view out the front of the building, and nice bathroom with all necessary accessories.

The staff were efficient and the whole place was well managed. The room we had was a generous size with a super comfortable king size bed. It was warm and soundproof with a lovely view of Ben Lomond and the Loch. The room was carefully thought out with plenty of charge and power points. The bathroom was clean and modern with plenty of hot water. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent.

Whisky bar most impressive. All bar staff were very knowledgeable about local distilleries (and others). The bedroom was clean and comfortable, and the en suite had a great shower. Great location. Small town so everything was easily accessible on foot. Local airport access a bonus (from Glasgow).

"The Anchor Inn was a traditional Drovers Inn dating back to 1888. Over recent years, it has undergone tasteful modernisation and now boasts a nautical-themed bar and restaurant area with hearty food and good ale. We have various rooms, all en-suite, and many have views of the Gareloch Sea. Great host!!!! He was very helpful and the view is very beautiful and I would highly recommend this hotel. P s:- Don't forget to checkout the bar and the drinks are very reasonable, 😀

The breakfast menu offered a wide selection of options and was cooked to perfection with wonderful ingredients. The hotel has a list of their food suppliers on display and this food provenance is reflected in the wonderful freshly cooked dinners we enjoyed. The main courses were all large portions and very satisfying. The bar had an excellent selection of scottish gins all well worth trying. The room was very comfortable and well appointed and very clean with plenty of tea and coffee supplies. The hosts Irene and Scott are very friendly and made us very welcome.

Located just 5 miles from Oban, right on the lake shores and on Loch Etive, Lochnell Arms Hotel features a restaurant overlooking the famous Falls of Lora. Guests can relax in the lounge by the open roaring fire and there is also a terrace for al fresco dining. The room was big and with a big Window on the Lake, amazing view. The Staff was really Kind and supportive. The breakfast (included) was rich and delicious.
