We landed at The Golf Tavern after a long journey from the states, and it was the perfect place to get settled before our 3 week trip around Scotland. Close to Edinburgh without paying Edinburgh prices. Experience the local culture in the pub at night with a pool table and darts. John even let us use his PC for a few minutes to accomplish a work task. We asked him if it was hard to run an inn, and he said no, "you just look after people" in his charming Scottish accent. 11/10 would recommend :)

I loved everything and will stay again! Staff couldn’t do enough, food amazing and our accommodation was amazingly clean! Couldn’t ask for anything more. When we are next in the area we will certainly book the restaurant as the food was amazingly good - recommend the Scottish breakfast and the curry!

Set in the village of Roslin, The Original Rosslyn Inn is an idyllic village inn, just 8 miles from Edinburgh’s city centre. This family-run property has a traditional pub and a fine dining... The staff were very friendly. Reception staff stayed open a little as we were running late for check in. This was much appreciated. Cute room with lovely colours and a bath and good water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was large and was great for both someone who loves haggis and black pudding and also a pescatarian or vegetarian.
