We had a decent stay overall, but there were a couple of disappointments. The washroom was clean, but the carpets in the room didn’t feel clean and could use more attention.

Featuring a garden, Cozy Sunset Cottage Overlooking Rice Lake provides accommodations in Roseneath. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking.

The property was not clean (ie dirty bathrooms, dirty dishes, unclean floors and walls) and had dead and live insects (travelled in March). Had to clean the property upon arrival just to make it ok to stay in. Had a hole in the ceiling in a bedroom that leaked.

    This is the cleanest, most comfortable 2 star hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was very clean. The bathroom seems to have been recently renovated and it was sparkling. The bed was great. Everything about the place exceeded my expectations.

    Great rooms, loved the deck and view. Relaxing and cozy, great breakfast in mornings- lots of options. Room was spacious and comfortable with everything needed. I was very pleasantly surprised- we have stayed at the other 3 hotels in Peterborough including the Hampton and this was by far the best stay we have had.

    Host was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. It was very thoughtful to have breakfast and coffee provided, and a fully functioning kitchen to use in the apartment, as well as ample space to relax in the living room area if desired

    We found the location on the canal to be beautiful, and quiet. There was no breakfast as such, but there was a well-equipped kitchenette, fresh baked goods, and juices in the fridge. The suite was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The bathroom was well-equipped with any toiletries one might need.

    upon arrival the staff were super friendly and helpful and that hospitality continued throughout our stay. The hotel was extremely clean from the lobby to the rooms. The rooms were spacious and so was the bathroom. The breakfast was lovely and sufficient. Overall an exceptional stay.
