United Arab EmiratesAbsolutely everything. We wanted to have some time off from the world, in nature, and that’s what we got. The little houses are divided in two (at least most of those I noticed) and provide a wonderful seclusion from the road noise. The hotel is some 15-20 minutes from the airport. The host, Alex, is one of the warmest and most hospitable property owners I’ve dealt with. My husband and I both understand Spanish but speak a little and Alex and his wife Liliana did everything to understand us and meet our needs. The food was exceptionally tasty. There were different types of beer. The room was clean. We had the necessary amenities. The only catch was that we didn’t know that in this part of Colombia, there’s no hot water from the shower, but that was fine as the lukewarm-coldish was endurable and fine. I want to thank Alex and his team for wonderful welcome, assistance in booking trips that were perfect for us and for a little excursion he organised for us to go to Brazil as there was a local festival going on.

The hotel is on the outside of the town meaning that it is very quiet. Of course, this means that you have to walk 10 minutes into town. Both were nice, but unfortunately in Spanish. The wifi was good, although we didn't really want to be online while there. There is a tower with an amazing view, but it was a bit scary with two people and not sure if it so safe to climb up. The shower are cold, but in the hot climate what I prefer.
