Wow, I've seen many places but none like this. This hotel is very remote and difficult to get to but it is worth the trouble. I've traveled to 45 different countries but have never seen a more beautiful sunset view than this one. Here you'll see a wide open view of the Sierra Nevada valley, many different species of birds and hear howler monkeys in the morning. This is a locally owned hotel by a very sweet, loving family. They will do everything to help you feel comfortable here. If you're looking for peace and tranquility, this is the place.

This hotel is nestled in paradise. The staff are extraordinary and went out of their way to help us from the first moment we arrived. Nelly at reception, along with her male colleague (forgot his name) were very responsive and helped us when booking a bird watching excursion. The food and cocktails (made my Ray and other restaurant staff) were delicious. It's a little remote, so having a good restaurant is definitely a plus! The hostel is a relatively close walk to two waterfalls, which are nice to visit and offer a refreshing swim after walking through the heat. We would definitely go back!

The accommodation was beautiful in the jungle They were clever with having a bbq for each property and very reasonably priced filet steak and salads lunch Bird watching excursion on the property or nearby was excellent (young chap but knew his stuff) and again v reasonably priced

We had a really good experience at Bajo el cielo. The staff is super friendly, and they treat you like royalty. The view is AMAZING. We stayed here during summer. Upon check out, we meet the manager, and I mentioned to him, that the glampings are in need of ceiling fans, because it is hot at night time during the SUMMER, and he completely ignored my suggestion. Hope the owners can do something in regards to ceiling fans, or mini splits a/c. Other than that, it is a great place to stay.

You want privacy? Yes this is the place. Sunset Serenata provided the perfect oasis during my holiday to Colombia. Highlights of staying here: Air Conditioning, fresh breakfast, chit-chat with Theo, sunsets on the balcony, bird-watching from a fun bathtub, and a comfortable bed. I was there during the dry season so bugs were not an issue at all. You may even have a doggy or two join you on all your adventures. Theo provided laundry service (for a small fee) the day before leaving to give everything time to air dry. The only tricky part is acquiring transportation to-and-from the casita. The roads are rough, and the trip from Minca is not for everyone. If you decide to come here, plan your meals and trips to town appropriately.
