Cosy and as advertised. it was clean and well furnished with everything you could possibly need for a stay. Easy to locate, and a great base for exploring the surrounding area. Great for stargazing and just to disconnect and relax in a quiet place. Everything seems handcrafted which is very twee and nice in this day and age.

The restaurant was great pub food and the breakfast was perfect. Be sure to book ahead for space in the lower restaurant by the fire place. The rooms were clean, fresh and modern. Cosy feel and the location is very quiet and relaxed. The perfect stop over on our Scotland tour.

The room with a bath is excellent. Its very spacious but cosy at the same time. The bath is worth the room upgrade. We enjoyed staying in the annex as it was quiet and only a short walk to breakfast. All staff were super friendly and we loved chilling in the pub in the evening. Definitely coming back.

Was very relaxing. So quite. Took some bird feed and within 5 mins they were everywhere from small willow tits, woodpeckers and jay birds. Also small ones fed from hands. Plenty of space for long walks and not far if need to drive to some places .

The lodge is absolutely beautiful and has everything you can possibly want from a home. It is so comfortable and spacious, the photos don’t do it justice and the two shower rooms and the hot tub ( even though we didn’t use it) are a definite bonus.

This place was an absolute gem! So clean, tidy, well equipped and homely. Much bigger than I expected, more like a self-contained cottage. A fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Plenty space for two even with the bed down. I hadn't expected the bed to be so comfortable, fabulous thick mattress. We felt so chilled out after a night in front of the log burner planning our next day. And, a plentiful supply of logs. Set on a quiet road with very little passing traffic.

Tanar View is the perfect place for a holiday. The hosts are so helpful. The welcome pack was super. There is so much to see and do in the area but you can always finish the day with a relaxing dip in the hot tub.
