Immaculate and everything you need right down to cleaning supplies, shower gel, and even some games to play. Loved the small touches like the candle, and the smell inside was delightful. Non-smoking and pet friendly reflect this. Having the plastic glasses were great for sitting outside. Comfortable and quiet surroundings. The hot tub was amazing...especially as our weather was fantastic. We took a drive to the local town, which was not far away, and picked up some essentials from a local Tesco. We stayed two nights, and the price was absolutely fantastic, considering it was an Easter Sunday and Monday. Could not fault anything at all and would definitely return. Seen reviews complaining about the WiFi, which didn't bother us as we were there to stay off our devices.

The Crown and Mitre Hotel is located in the centre of Carlisle city centre, with shops and local historic attraction such as Carlisle Cathedral and Castle just 2 minutes' walk from the hotel.

Room had recently had a substantial water ceiling leak. Leak had been fixed but room had not been re decorated

We loved everything about the lodge, so quiet and relaxing. Graham and Gary are the perfect hosts, helped us with recommendations on where to eat & even helped us when we stupidly couldn’t use the oven (our fault)🤣 we will 100% be back!

    The staff were very kind and helpful. We arrived quite late and they called me to check that we were coming and were very reassuring. The room was spotless, the bathroom was great and it was luxury to have a bath instead of just a shower. The breakfast menu was excellent, a very large choice of breakfasts and very generous. Check out time was 11am, which gave a more relaxed departure.

    A very convenient, late availability stopover which I needed just for one night. The staff were friendly and welcoming, my room was clean and comfortable and I really appreciated being able to relax in a bath after my long journey, which was a welcome change from there just being a shower. Breakfast was excellent and set me up for my seven hour drive home. All in all, my stay was great value for money, I'd be happy to stay again and recommend to others. Thank you!

    We arrived Friday, got a lovely welcome. Our room was nice and big, looks like it had been freshly painted especially bathroom. Comfy bed n the pillows are just the best. We had breakfast for both mornings and was spot on. Nothing was to much bother. We had lunch Saturday which was fresh and best soup we've had. We had a nice chilled weekend and we have booked again. Hotel is central, train station is 10 mins walk away. Plenty off parking spaces at back off hotel which is great.

    Staff were super friendly and kind and very helpful with my dietary requirements. Nothing was too much bother, and we felt really looked after. The room was really spacious and comfortable, with a seating area and also a coffee machine. The whole room and bathroom were spotless and fresh. The location is perfect. It is quiet with stunning views over the Solway Firth and even with rain and cloud it was a beautiful sight! Really loved every bit of the stay and will definitely visit again!!

    Beautiful building, stayed in the stunning large 4 poster room, lovely comfy bed, little fridge, roomy bathroom, very pleasant relaxing 1 night stay. Didnt stay for breakfast so cant comment on that other than it smelt great.
