This historic Gothic mansion sits in tranquil parkland on the Cotswold Edge, beside the Severn Valley and close to Bristol. It offers fine dining, a leisure club, and spacious, traditional rooms.

All staff very pleasant and helpful. Room had recently been decorated - advice on closest car parking area was most appreciated Pre-booked Sunday lunch at 14.15 in the Atrium was very good especially as guest numbers were fewer at this time - the Atrium can be noisy as we know from previous experience. Only drawback was vegetables were a little dried out but still tasty. Do remember to ask for gravy to be provided separately unless you like your food 'swimming'! Breakfast was superb on Monday morning and taking final coffee into the garden made it a very relaxing start to the day. The gardens are exceptional and well tended and information on the 'special' ancient trees in the arboretum was beneficial

Wonderful cosy space in good walking distance from our work. The hosts were pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed, and the bathtub was a real treat after a long day.

Great location, great food and great spa, myself and partner came for a much needed break before baby arrived and it didn't dissapoint in any of these areas. Only slight niggle was we had an "accessible" room (due to partner being heavily pregnant), but it was a bath with included small tap shower, we had expected an "accessible" walk in shower. Wasn't too much of an issue as we used the spa facilities so she just showered there.

The location is great for river, castle, walking, the town and pubs and restaurants. Easy parking. Would be great to stay at number 8 with family or friends. Three rooms with three bathrooms. Good shared kitchen and shared lounge.

The spa and leisure facilities are good, perhaps a little tired (poolside showers need tweaking and the rail to the jacuzzi is wobbly) but clean and a good selection of facilities. Nice old building if you like architecture.

The room was nice and was stocked with all the typical things you would need in a hotel room. The bed was comfy, however the pillows were not so great. The bath and shower were lovely and the soaps etc smelt lovely. The breakfast was an £37 buffet for 2 which we filled up on and it was delightful. The complementary spa and jacuzzi were amazing, and the staff, especially Jess were wonderful throughout.
