it was clean and comfortable. Kate was very lovely. it's pretty close to Stroud centre, was 15 min walk? taxi was cheap getting back to the place. parking isn't the worst and is the same as most small street parking. room was nice and warm, bed was comfy. lovely selection of tea and coffee.

It’s a lovely cottage in a beautiful little village set in the midst of gorgeous countryside scenery. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay there. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. I can’t think of anything that needs improvement.

Great location and views. Lodge was fenced in with decent out door space for children and dog to play.

The venue and grounds have the potential to be really good and interesting
Stepping into a hot tub and soaking in warm water is bliss. If you choose a hotel with a jacuzzi, you can do this any time you want – morning, afternoon, or evening. Some hotels offer private hot tubs, while others have shared jacuzzis, usually part of a wellness spa.
This is a charming, characterful pub. We received an extremely warm, friendly reception from our hostess Joy. An absolutely delightful person!
Checking in late in the evening was no problem. Ample parking, generous refreshments in our room and a good selection of cereal for breakfast.
A very cosy, comfortable room and adequate bathroom.
Pretty village location and minimal traffic on the road passing
Cereal and milk provided in room along with the usual tea coffee. Communal kitchen available if you want to create your own meals. Very friendly landlord, Land lady & locals in bar. Very peaceful & comfortable bed. Loads of parking space.
The owners Joy and Godfrey were really lovely. They made me feel really welcome as a lone traveller. The room was spacious, warm and comfortable. I had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Parking was a bonus. I would definitely stay again. Thank you Joy and Godfrey!
The room was amazing, very clean and lovely furniture. There was loads of toiletries and fresh towels. The bathroom was modern and recently renovated. The owners made it feel like a second home, they were amazing! They made sure everything we needed was available. The food in the restaurant was great too, very delicious, fresh and the prices are so good. Just overall AMAZING! thank you so much for the lovely stay! We will definitely book at the Red Lion again.
The space is beautifully kitted out, with every detail thought about and all to a very high standard, including the welcome hamper! There is a lovely view from the main room over the garden, cricket pitch, fields and woods beyond. The location is very handy for the Forest of Dean as well as the Cotswolds, and best of all, the hosts and their dog are incredibly friendly and welcoming.
