Beautiful setting, very quiet. Quaint and historic building, like stepping back in time. Very friendly host, added bonus was Timmy the cat. Excellent breakfast, nothing was too much trouble. Great pub up the road Fisherman's Cot. Woken up in the morning to the sound of the river running and the birds singing. Fabulous

The property was large, clean and as advertised online. Perfect for our stay. Also the welcome gifts on arrival of bread, eggs and a couple sweet treats were a lovely extra touch.

We had a fantastic long weekend at Ponsford Ponds Holiday Accommodations. Goosedown Lodge was gorgeous, nicely decorated, bright and well kitted out with everything we needed and more! The hot tub was great for relaxing in the evening and the balcony caught all the sunshine with stunning views over the lakes and surrounding countryside. Such a relaxing place to escape to. Next, the fishing! Wow! We fished every day on Goosedown Lake and caught a total of 18 Mirror Carp averaging around 7lbs but we caught a couple of absolute whoppers! A 13lbs, 14lb and 19lb 13oz! By far a PB! There was also plenty of Perch, Bream and Roach caught aswell. Couldn't recommend Ponsford Ponds highly enough, we will be back!

shepherds hut was amazing and cosy wood burner in full flow on arrival, hot tub was lovely fishing a bit slow but mid December couldn't expect too much but did catch a few lovely fat carp to 5ish lb in great condition, location was quiet, we will be back, 10/10.
Stepping into a hot tub and relaxing in its warm water is bliss. If you opt for a hotel with a jacuzzi, you can do this any time you like – morning, afternoon, or evening. Some hotels offer guests private hot tubs, while others have a shared jacuzzi that’s usually part of a wellness spa.
The accommodation was first class. There were 16 of us plus the dog and still had plenty of room. Cinema room was excellent, kids loved it. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Nice big kitchen, well equipped.
Spacious lounge, big enough for us all.
Plenty of bathrooms, so no queuing.
Nice long corridor what the kids loved, to burn their energy off.
Kids didnt want tp leave, so left them there. 😂
Would highly recommend.
We use this hotel often. Nowadays it is run on a very small number of staff. The rooms are spacious with plenty of storage, chairs and tables. Bathrooms are in need of refurbishment as are lots of the carpets in corridors and dining room. The beds are comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities are in room but often haven’t been refilled so sometimes have to go to reception. Cooked breakfast is usually very good but the staff don’t react quickly to empty serving plates.
Breakfast, the beds were comfortable, the room was clean. Towels, Tea coffee kettle and biscuits were provided in the room. There was free wifi on an open network. Ensuite shower and bath had good pressure. There was ample parking spaces close to entrance and it was a ground floor room. Reception staff were helpful at check in check out.
Always a very polite, friendly and helpful staff.
Very well located in Tiverton and ample parking outside.Lovely breakfasts served in restaurant and food and meal deals served in the bar area which is very comfortable. Good value for money and rooms are spacious , comfy and clean with an en-suite bathroom containing bath and shower.
Very nice and unpretentious hotel with friendly staff and good service.. nice lounge bar to relax in and good breakfast served in the morning.. spacious car park on the premises
Beautiful property located in a very peaceful area approx 6 miles from Tiverton. A cream tea greeted us on arrival, and the Linhay provided everything that you could possibly need for a self catering holiday including a state of the art hot tub which overlooks the rolling hills of mid Devon. Would definitely recommend. The house boasts modern decor, two high end ensuite bathrooms, a wonderful kitchen and washing facilities. Briony was a fab hostess and we had a relaxing break.
Location is excellent as I visit an elderly friend not far away.Appreciate having a large car park outside.Staff usually very helpful and professional.
A good selection of breakfast items , full English or eggs cooked as required, cereals, mini pastries fruit and juices, tea and coffee.Lounge and bar serving food at various times of the day.
My room was spacious, clean and comfortable with tv and en-suite bathroom. Nice display of jewellery for sale in reception.Sunday lunch was very good too.
