Featuring an indoor swimming pool and à-la-carte restaurant, the family-run Hotel Kaštel is set at the top of a hill in the center of the medieval town of Motovun.

Loved the location, the narrow cobbled streets , the vista of woods and vineyards, even though the weather wasn't great it was still beautiful there . Had a wonderful facial and my husband had a massage, can highly recommend the spa and such a lovely pool

The property was absolutely gorgeous, very well-maintained, and located in a visually stunning setting. The rooms were spacious, boasted beautiful views, and were well-appointed with crisp linens, bathrobes, a well-stocked minibar, and comfortable beds. The windows are huge—and open, allowing for fresh mountain air and birdsong in the mornings. The indoor spa facilities were very nice—and were perfect for relaxing after long days of sightseeing. Daily breakfasts were very generous, delicious, and beautifully presented. This is a wonderful boutique hotel with exceptional hosts!

What a beautiful residence and winery, the staff was friendly and accommodating, pouring is a glass of wine upon arriving. We then sat outside and had a wine tasting and the owner of the vineyard Franco join us . He told us all about his vision for the winery and creating the residence, this was a fabulous stay. The Jacuzzi and hot sauna were a lovely bonus before heading out for an amazing dinner recommended by Nicole at the hotel.

Overlooking the valleys of the Mirna River, the Botique Hotel Vela Vrata is located in the picturesque town of Buzet and surrounded by the natural landscape of north-eastern Istria.

Loved the tables we could sit out front sipping wonderful wines during the afternoon. So friendly and excellent service and food. One of our favorite hotels.

    Amazing view, kind and welcoming staff. The welcome drink was exactly what was needed once we arrived. Definitely take the extra breakfast and if you get a room with a view, enjoy it on the balcony. Room and bathroom are spatious and clean. The location is perfect. If you arrive by car they organize parking for you. Recommend 100%.

    The balcony was a wonderful feature, we enjoyed the views and being up with the swifts and a redstart as we enjoyed a cup of tea after a long bike ride, and breakfast the next morning. The bed was large and comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and everywhere was immaculately clean. There was also storage for our bikes inside the building and it was quiet at all times.

    Nice host. The apartment was clean, bigger than I thought it will be and had everything we needed. Location near Motovun, just few minutes by car. We really enjoyed in night bath in jacuzzi.

    Clean room, nice amenities (spa), relaxed and quiet environment, beautiful view (we got a free upgrade to valley view - big thanks to the hotel reception). Food and wine selection were perfect for a la carte lunch and dinner, as well as for the complementary breakfast.

    Stunning view, great owner. Just right for our needs and lovely to relax in the space or entertain ourselves! All facilities work well but are consistent with rustic life so expect a comfortable stay in a beautiful place and not MTV Cribs. Jakov was great and consistently exceeded expectations and personally helped us out. Highly recommended.

    The location is great, right in the heart of Motovun. Our room also had breathtaking views of the Istrian countryside. The room is very spaced set-up, very large bathroom and a nice balcony. Very friendly staff, they picked us up from the Motovun parking and dropped us off as well. Breakfast is good, and perfect to enjoy from your balcony.

    Breakfast was great, truffle omelette was delicious! Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was so accommodating to us and we really appreciated a later check out as we arrived late. They were so friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay and drove us up and down the hill to our car. The location of the hotel is amazing and it is in a beautiful building. We also enjoyed using the spa facilities, the pool was very relaxing and the masseuse was great!
