This majestic property in Art Nouveau style includes indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a spa. It is on the shores of Lake Maggiore in Stresa, opposite the Borromean Islands.
Stepping into a hot tub and relaxing in its warm water is bliss. If you opt for a hotel with a jacuzzi, you can do this any time you like – morning, afternoon, or evening. Some hotels offer guests private hot tubs, while others have a shared jacuzzi that’s usually part of a wellness spa.
Our room was large and recently updated. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. Our room had beautiful terrace and jacuzzi ! The bistro on the rooftop for breakfast and lake view was fantastic.
The historic nature of the apartment and the building in which it was housed coupled with its excellent central location, its facilities ie well equipped kitchen, lounge/dining and bathroom/laundry but most of all its owner and his partner who went above and beyond from picking us up and dropping us off at station to immediately fixing the problem that my husband caused with the washing machine.
Well loved our pretty room under the eaves of this very old, family run
hotel. We had a delightful view over the roof slates to the lake and mountains. Room and bathroom with painted walls and a luxury spa bath were much enjoyed. We enjoyed two excellent evening meals in the restaurant overlooking the lake. Breakfast was good, with fresh fruit. It was so nice just being able to wander out into the streets and piazza of lovely Orta. The staff were very friendly and offered helpful information.
We had a wonderful time (though unfortunately short) at cucchiaio di legno. Place was lovely, nice room with cute cosy balcony, amazing breakfast with so many gluten free/dairy free options (the home made almond cake was to die for!)!
The spa was such a nice treat, with sauna, jacuzzi, fire pit and relax room.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Finally, we bought the mead and it was delicious!
We really hope we'll be back soon!
Incredible location and absolutely perfect hotel ! Made our dream holiday come true! Wonderful tub and bathroom fit for a queen but tucked into a cozy romantic little room overlooking the lake. Simply spectacular !
Lovely little hotel in the centre of the old town. Room was a good size and the spa bath was a nice treat. Nice little balcony. We were there during the quiet season so not much noise. It would probably be noisy during the busy period as the room overlooks the street.
The facilities (including the spa and the wellness area) and the room are brand new. The breakfast was great and had a big variety, even beyond our expectations. It's great to have the option to use the coffee machine and grab some cake beyond breakfast hours. The restaurant was really great and we recommend trying the "tasting menu". We recieved a bathrobe and flip flops for the spa which was really nice.
The location in the main piazza of Orta San Giulio was fantastic. Our little balcony overlooked the piazza and the lake.
The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed. Very unique having an enormous shower in the room rather than the bathroom.
The breakfast was a bonus, and had a large variety of fresh foods.
We would recommend this hotel to our friends.
