Varenna house offers two apartments with different facilities. We stayed in the one roomed apartment which is one floor up from the other apartment. You have a small lake view from there. It was lovely to sit out on when the sun was out , unfortunately that was only 2 days of my 4 day trip to Varenna . Beautiful view on to lake como . The apartment was very nice & modern & clean. The apartment is in a great location and easily accessible to the main village, train and ferry. It was nice coming home to the apartment after a day exploring and having the comfort of a well appointed property that allows you space to relax and unwind at the end of each day. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is spacious and the views are stunning. The hot tub is an excellent bonus. Large lounge dining area with views over the lake. Good size bathroom with washing machine and dryer. Small shower. Parking would be an issue if you have a car. The owner collected us from the railway station and gave us a quick tour and pointed out some things to see and do. Be warned that during winter many places are closed.
