Beach chairs available for use, very close to the beach and a few awesome restaurants, loved the front porch overlooking the water.

We drove the famous Road to Hana and decided to spend the night rather than make the long return trip the same day. Staying at the Hana-Maui Resort was a great way to truly enjoy the area without feeling rushed—but be prepared for the price. It was more than triple what we paid per night in Lahaina, which definitely makes it a splurge.
That said, the resort offers a lot. Parking was included, and the property has everything you might need for a comfortable and peaceful stay. The rooms are massive—more like mid-sized apartments than traditional hotel suites. The bed was very comfortable, and the space overall felt thoughtfully designed and relaxing.
The grounds are expansive and beautifully maintained, with a quiet, tranquil vibe that's hard to find anywhere else on Maui. We especially enjoyed the infinity pool, catching the sunrise, and just taking in the peaceful surroundings.
One highlight for me was the fitness room, which was impressively equipped with free weights, Peloton bikes, and more. Even better—it opens up to a second pool, allowing you to work out while still soaking in the tropical atmosphere.
Dining options include an off-site restaurant and some fantastic food trucks just footsteps away—perfect for a flavorful and fuss-free feast.
All in all, if you're willing to splurge for a serene, off-the-beaten-path experience in Hana, the Hana-Maui Resort delivers. It’s not budget-friendly, but it offers a unique kind of luxury you won’t find elsewhere on the island.
Stepping into a hot tub and soaking in warm water is bliss. If you choose a hotel with a jacuzzi, you can do this any time you want – morning, afternoon, or evening. Some hotels offer private hot tubs, while others have shared jacuzzis, usually part of a wellness spa.
Oh my, what a resort. Unfortunately, I only stayed for one night, but this is a place where you would get the full benefit if you would stay for more than 5 nights. The pool is amazing and walking down the property to the ocean is impressive. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean. Amazing Maui, I really have to come back here.
Location is great, but no hot tub!! The pools were cold and theirs very little to eat if you are a vegetarian. Also, they don't use fitted sheets on the bed so every night I'd wake up on a mattress (gross)! But the location is key. Perfect spot on the Hana side of the Island
If you pay the lesser but still hefty price of 800 USD, you will get the old, non-renovated rooms, which are spacious and have some nostalgic charm to them, but are also in urgent need of a thorough upgrade. Otherwise, the property is stunning, with lush gardens and views of Hana, and an exquisite pool overlooking the ocean. The pancakes are your best options at breakfast.
This property is a gem in the heart of Hana. A short walk to the beach, beautiful ocean views and plenty of space for everyone to spread out! The hot tub and sauna were hits with our group as well.
Totally private, very clean and comfortable, big space and extra room for our child gave us privacy. Loved having the kitchen- fully stocked. Air BnB feel without the fees and annoying checkout procedures.
Bed was very comfortable, space was clean and nicely decorated. This was directly on the Road to Hana and easy to find. The snacks were great and unexpected! Shower had awesome pressure and felt delightful after camping for a week prior to arrival!
Made with so much love and attention to detail!
It’s not really a room, it’s an apartment. Very spacious, high ceilings and is fully equipped. The bed has been made in heaven. We slept like angels.
very clean, spacious, and comfortable! Dale was a wonderful and thoughtful host, and the bathroom was fully stocked with towels and amenities. the bed was comfortable. would definitely recommend to friends/family and stay again!
