Mirador Valle de la Tatacoa in Villavieja features a garden and a terrace. There is an on-site restaurant and free private parking. It was really cool to be out in the middle of nowhere in the desert. The hotel is very rustic and located on a functioning ranch with cows and horses and everything. It is also walking distance from the two grey desert hiking trails. The owner was really friendly and fun to chat with as well as helpful with anything we needed. The food was also some of the best hotel food we’ve had.

Very nice and well maintained property with beautiful garden. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Only problem is the noise coming from the water pump that is interrupting the silence of the place which can be problematic with people with more sensitive sleep

Out of all the places I've stayed in my travels this year (2023), the bed here was the most comfortable one so far! The women managing the place(Daisy) is super sweet and helpful. She gave me complimentary coffee every morning and as much cold filtered water as I could drink! The location is centered in town, close to restaurants, bars, the bank and shops. It is not far from the hot springs, that this town is so well known for. (30min walk - 5 min. in moto-taxi)

Finca Ecológica El Maco in San Agustín has a garden and barbecue facilities. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Everything! This was the best hotel ever. The garden is a little piece of paradise, the cabins are lovely, comfortable and clean. The restaurant is also really good. But, what make this place great is the staff! Yolanda was always available to help us with everything, including organizing a horseback riding tour or giving us recommendations for nice walks in the area! We did not want to leave...
