Altskeith Country House is wonderfully located and offers breathtaking views over the loch & surrounding mountains. The service is personal and my wife and I loved breakfast and dinner. The self-smoked salmon with scrambled eggs for breakfast was wonderful as were our dinner courses that all had a personal and creative touch - the hand-writing of a really great cook. If you're a nice person yourself you won't meet nicer hosts! ;)

An extremely comfy and cosy place to stay even in winter. The hot tub was good fun. Great place to stay with a dog as there is lots of space to walk them. Martin was excellent and provided anything we needed at a moments notice. Easy drive to local attractions. Most relaxing place we've stayed in a while.

The location is perfect, even though there was another couple in the cabin beside us we had full privacy. The place is sooooo clean it was incredible. The hosts thought of every little detail to make it extra special. From the hamper to the chocolates and the robe. This is the best cabin I’ve stayed at in Scotland.

Stag Lodge - Uk46921 provides a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 27 km of Hopetoun House and 30 km of Forth Bridge. The 5-star holiday home is 38 km from Glasgow Cathedral. Collection of keys was simple, called once arrived and the hosts met us onsite within a couple of minutes to show us around. The lodge is fully equipped with everything we need for our stay and more. We had such a fantastic weekend with our parents and are already making plans to return, the children (4 and 6) also did not want to leave! Massive thanks for the luxury stay, hamper and robes!
