A must is the view from Circular Quay Railway station, its th best free view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Harbour and Opera House. (Local secret if you want an even better view) head towards the Oprah house as you get to the lsat ferry wharf under the Cahill express way you'll see a lift that looks like it goes nowhere, but it takes you up to the Cahill Expressway. from there you'll have 360 degree views of Sydney city, bridge and harbour.

Ferries, trains, trams, buses to anywhere you like. Download the public transport app to plan your trip. Oh and the bridge the opera house and if you're lucky one of those massive cruise ships will be in. They are like floating cities, quite a sight. There's usually some street entertainment in the area too.

It’s a bit of walking. Especially if you are going to the opera house as well. So travel light. If you have small kids (or a tired Grandma) take one of those fold up beach trolleys ($75 from Kmart) those things are priceless when lugging kids and stuff around! (And tired Grandmas)

Everything is a stone throw from the Quay view Opera House, walk over Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Botanical Gardens, Lady Macquarie's Chair visit the historical Rocks have a beer in the oldest pubs in Sydney a few claim to be. Macquarie Street is a walk up the road there is an amazing amount of history in this street, the first signs from penal colony to a colony, might be best during the week where you can access some of the buildings. If none of that suits just sit and enjoy the worldof circular key coffee and watching the world go by

Very comfortable hostel with friendly helpful staff. Room was clean, quiet and had lovely white bedding and towels. We did not use the kitchen, laundry or pool. The location was superb with the Light Railway literally right outside the door and just a few stops from Circular Quay. Central Station is a few metres away and getting from the airport was very easy. There is an excellent cafe next to the hostel which does a variety of inexpensive meals and there are several bars and eateries all in the immediate area.

The hotel was well located at Circular Quay. It was clean and very spacious. The staff were very helpful and friendly. In the room there was tea/coffee making equipment but it was very basic . A couple of tea bags and a few sachets of coffee - no biscuits. We were, however, provided with 2 bottles of water. The hill up to the property from the Quay was very steep and difficult but then we discovered that there was a lift.

Nothing to dislike! Excellent hotel - Deluxe Double Studio - perfect for a three night stay in Sydney CBD. A few minutes walk and you are in Darling Harbour - easy to catch the ferry round to Circular Quay or you can walk in 20 and be between Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym an added bonus!

The location was great, a 10-minute walk to the ferry & then 10 minutes on the ferry to Circular Quay. The apartment itself was clean, spacious & had all the facilities to make it a real home from home. The outside deck made it feel as though you were amongst nature rather than in a city.

What guests said about Circular Quay:

Weekly train ticket is probably the cheaper option if you want to venture further afield than the CBD. However it is rather expensive and cost $84 for the weekly ticket, but this still was the cheaper option for us as we were visiting lots of places and we were only there for 4 days, so gave our ticket away to some others at the airport. The cost of staying in a hotel in the CBD was expensive as well. Wouldn't stay and dine in the CBD again because of the cost. We had dinner at one of the Circular Quay restaurants 'the Sydney Oyster Cove' and being a coeliac was excited to see gluten free on the menu, however my meal wasn't gluten free when it arrived just ruined the dining experience, especially considering the cost of the food and drinks.
