Surrounded by shops and restaurants in Melbourne CBD, this 5-star hotel offers spacious suites with LCD TVs, balconies, and panoramic views over Yarra River.

There were a number of problems with the room. The sink in the bathroom was very slow to drain. It took two maintenance visits to get it properly fixed. The clothes, washer in the kitchen, continually spat out an error halfway through the drying process. Despite reporting this, it never got fixed properly, so I ended up with wet clothes twice! There was a drawer in the desk that was sticking out about 3 inches and wouldn’t close properly and the lock on the balcony door from the living room didn’t lock properly. I got so sick of making complaints that a couple of these things I either didn’t report until I left, or just didn’t bother reporting at all. Basically, it was a lot of little things and it was disappointing having to deal with them.

Located in Melbourne and within a 10-minute walk of Block Arcade Melbourne, Meriton Suites Melbourne has a spa & wellness center, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi.

The cleanliness of the room and hotel grounds was excellent, as was the location of the hotel. There were many different restaurants, grocery stores and tram lines within a 5 minute walk, or you could easily walk around many parts of the CBD right from the hotel. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
