A special mention to the blonde-haired lady working in the kitchen, who was always ready to help. The extended breakfast hours on weekends and holidays until 11 a.m. were a big plus. We were only in town for a day and a half, so the proximity to the train station made it easy to get in and out of town. We did a couple of walking tours which didn't take us too far from the centrally located hotel. We also walked to the port and took a boat across the lake to Evian. Again, great location. Ours also had a balcony overlookung the lake and Mont Blanc. The location is good for Laussane centre (Though, for tourusts, perhaps Laussane centre is not an obvious choice). Getting to the hotel from the train station was harder than expected. It's really close, but takes some climbing.
