Staff at the reception counter were very helpful. Mickey and Rikki helped us with many arrangements, going out of their way to help us with bookings, and even some of the Apps as we were there for the first time. They were prompt and friendly all the time.
We also enjoyed the wide variety of food for the breakfast and also a service staff would go round after our meal with fruit juice and local desserts to try.
The room I booked has excellent view and is very spacious to relax and enjoy the views.

The breakfast was nice. The host obliged and made coffee for us on request. I was expecting a room on the ground floor but we have to climb to level 3. However, host helped us with our cabin case. By china standard, the room is a little small. if only the weather is dry and warmer, we could enjoy some time in the balcony with nice view of the sunshine rock.
i find the location a bit far from the ferry pier. a good 15-20 mins walk with a stretch uphill from the pier. Luckily our luggage is not heavy. Visitors to gulangyu should know there is no traffic on this island. We spent 2 nights here. There was light rain on both days till the morning on departure day. Recommend a day trip. Can buy ferry ticket on the fly when dry weather is in forecast.
